The board can create special positions with unique assignments. These positions
are created by the board of directors & the individuals appointed by the
board.

Ruby
Star Volunteer Committees: The
board has formed volunteer committees to handle various tasks of the airpark.
Safety/Aviation
Committee - This committee is charged with keeping the runway
safe, lighting installation and repair, VASI lights (if possible), and they will
address other aspects of flying with the goal of keeping it safe and enjoyable.
Water
Committee - Ruby Star Airpark is located in an arid region of
the U.S. and therefore, it is incumbent on us to conserve water. This committee
is charged with reading meters, making recommendations to the board and property
owners.
Sanitation
Committee - Periodically, this committee goes thru the airpark
and picks up debris and trash.
Fun
Committee - This committee will organize fly-ins, parties
including an annual Christmas Party, and those events that appeal to an aviation
community.
Budget
Committee - These folks look at the present income and try to
forecast future expenses. This is a
difficult job which could use assistance from people familiar with development
processes and approximate costs.
Website
- The content on this website is
under the direction of the airpark HOA. Please
feel free to send ideas and suggestions to the HOA board for their
consideration.
Candidates for HOA - As of 10/26/08, six people are running for three open director seats. I will post their information as soon as I receive it. To read the resumes I have thus far, please click next to their names. As soon as more information is available, it will be posted.
